Hawzah News Agency- The Council called for intensified international efforts to confront hate speech, extremism, and racism. It urged addressing the root causes of violence, promoting a culture of dialogue and mutual respect, and entrenching the values of human fraternity as the most effective path towards building safe, stable societies founded on peace and justice.
The Muslim Council of Elders also expressed its sincere condolences to Australia—its government and people—as well as to the families of the victims, praying for a swift recovery for the injured.
